Chris Livesey

Chris Livesey (Chair of the Manawa Karioi Society) is the lead person organising the Paekawakawa, Tawatawa and Manawa Karioi reserve walks. 

Chris has been involved with the Manawa Karioi Ecological Restoration project from its inception 30 years ago and gets a great buzz from the fact that Manawa Karioi is enabling native trees and other native plants, birds, insects and fungi to re-establish themselves as part of a thriving native ecosystem in Island Bay.

The guides for the walks will be members of the Manawa Karioi Society, the Southern Environmental Association (Tawatawa reserve) or the Island Bay Natural Heritage Trust (Paekawakawa reserve).
